Housing
Freshman students who live on campus typically reside in WLC's residence halls (Fischer and Stimac), which feature “house” units clustered around common living areas. Each room is occupied by two or three students; two rooms form a suite with one bathroom to serve the four or five students.
Most transfer students and returning students are eligible to live in college apartments or houses that are within a 10-minute walk of campus. The number of occupants ranges from two to six residents per unit. Apartments and houses come with furniture and full-size appliances.

Meal Plans
All housing options at WLC include a meal plan. The meal plan, which provides cost savings and reduces food waste, is based on the average number of meals eaten by undergraduate students in the Courtyard Café. Meal plan options allow flexibility so students can pay for what they actually plan to eat in the Courtyard Café, which offers 19 meals each week.
- A meal swipe is one meal in the Courtyard Café or an equivalent meal at the Brewhaus. Meal swipes expire at the end of each semester. WLC allows students to purchase additional meal swipes.
- A meal point is the equivalent of one dollar. Meal points can buy additional meals in the Courtyard Café; hot and cold beverages, food, and snacks in the Brewhaus; snacks and beverages from campus vending machines; and food and beverages from campus concession stands. Meal points carry over from fall semester to spring semester but expire at the end of spring semester.
The plans begin with offering 175 meal swipes plus 150 meal points; this allows for daily lunch and supper during the week, plus three meals on a weekend or three breakfasts in a week. Students often choose not to eat breakfast in the Courtyard Café; some also do not eat in the Courtyard Café on weekends.
The majority of students in housing with full kitchens prefer a meal plan with fewer than 175 meal swipes so they can cook on their own; WLC offers plans that meet this need. Options, which are based on the housing option chosen, are listed below.
