Incoming freshmen and transfer students with exceptional artistic ability are encouraged to apply for an Art Scholarship, with an annual value of up to $2,000, renewable each year for a lifetime value of up to $8,000.
Four art scholarships will be awarded each year. These scholarships may be given in addition to other academic scholarships that the college offers. However, recipients may receive only one Fine Arts Scholarship.
Elegibility and Selection
- Scholarship applicants must be accepted for admission on or before the scholarship application deadline.
- Scholarship selection is based on artistic dedication and ability as determined by the application form and portfolio review in conjunction with two written letters of recommendation.
- Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen or transfer students entering in the fall semester.
- Students need not be art majors to receive these awards, but recipients must take at least one art course per semester to remain eligible. Please ensure that this will work with your planned major.
- The application deadline for the 2025-2026 academic year is March 15, 2025.
Portfolio Guidelines
- Portfolio must contain a minimum of five works of art, but not more than 10.
- Artwork in the following media will be accepted: painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, small metals, printmaking, photography, fibers, mixed media, computer graphics, and video.
- Portfolio must be submitted digitally as a pdf file using color photos.
